This past month, I was given the opportunity to try out a couple items from prAna and I was thrilled. Disclaimer: even though the items were SUPER cute, they didn’t really fit me so I refuse to post my own pictures.
Their mission is to inspire healthy, active, and free-spirited living. Naturally this fits perfectly with my life and most likely many of yours!
The first item that I tried was the Lucia Sweater – perfect for a classic sweater! It is a recycled wool blend sweater knit with a brushed polyester back, making it perfect for cooler temperatures this fall and winter. It also comes in six different colors (if you tend to be more colorful than me lol).
The second item that I was able to try was the Kara Jean. I REALLY wish that I had ordered a smaller size because I LOVE these pants. They are really comfortable and really flattering!
Bottom line: I can’t wait to try out more products!
Now that all the anniversary and birthday celebrations have passed, I’m ready to get back on track!
Falling off the ‘healthy train’ is the worst and it can happen to the best of us. I can’t wait to start dishing out new recipes again. 🙂
I’ve been eating Mamma Chia Organic Vitality Granola clusters left and right! The clusters come in four amazing flavors and go great with yogurt or even straight of of the bag.
- Honey & Oats
- Cinnamon Pecan
- Vanilla Almond
- Wild Blueberry
I love this product because they offer so many more health benefits than the packaged granola (with tons of added sugar). The clusters are packed with 10 grams of protein and are soy and dairy free.

I thought my first recipe was good but I’ve tweaked it and it’s so much better!!!
- 1 banana mashed
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 banana (or fruit) for topping
- Maple syrup for topping
Mix the ingredients together and fry in a pan with some coconut oil. It is so good and it holds better than my first recipe.
With my boyfriend being from Hawaii, I am obsessed with acai bowls! It was also the perfect meal after my 10 mile run this morning. 🙂

Yay! Breaking into my second pair of my Brooks Glycerin 13.
To be honest, it wasn’t love at first run.. I went through three pairs of the Glycerin 12 and LOVED that model. I wasn’t thrilled when I slipped my foot into my first pair of the 13’s and realized that the entire feel was different. It was heavier and cushier (which was apparently exactly what I needed). Regardless I trained and ran my first marathon with the Glycerin 13 and I love it! I’m now onto my second pair along with a new pair of the Glycerin 14.
I am so excited to be trying all of these Mamma Chia products!!!! I love Mamma Chia because of their dedication to be a true conscious and sustainable company. They donate one percent of sales to support farmers, community groups and organizations that build healthy, local food systems.
Why choose chia? Chia seeds are the richest plant-based source of Omega-3s on the planet. An excellent source of dietary fiber, complete protein and antioxidants, both the Maya and Aztecs held this ancient seed in high esteem for increasing vitality, strength, and overall good health.
Keep an eye out my reviews to come on these products!
- Organic Chia Granola Clusters
- Organic Chia Squeeze
- Organic Chia Vitality Bars

So far this has been my go-to breakfast this week on the days that I don’t lift and get my protein smoothie…
Not sure what exactly to call this either – Strawberry PB Banana Chia Seed Smoothie w/ a Matcha booster ?
- Fresh/frozen strawberries – I ended up using about 5 medium sized fresh strawberries and liked it better than using the frozen strawberries pictured above.
- 1 banana
- 1 tsp organic peanut butter
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 1 cup almond milk
- Some ice
I’ve been experimenting with the measurements based on taste this week but all of these ingredients blended together make for a pretty awesome breakfast smoothie regardless.
This week’s meal prep: shrimp, broccoli, sweet potato and onions.
I was feeling pretty lazy so this was pretty quick and easy. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!!
- Shrimp – sautéed with olive oil, garlic and pepper.
- Broccoli – steamed with a pinch of Parmesan cheese.
- Sweet potato – cubed and baked in the oven with olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Onions – sautéed with olive oil.
