Meet Kelli.

Running | Swimming | Yoga | Basketball

I began my running journey through middle school cross country. I loved every second of it but only saw it as conditioning for basketball at the time. Then I started running with my mom for fun and she really sparked my interest in training for races. In April 2010, I ran my first 5k and won first place in the Overall Womens’ Division. That first race motivated me to continue my passion for running and later run my first 10k in 2013, my first half marathon in 2015 and my first marathon in 2015.

2017 was a big year. I made the move back to the Bay Area after living in North Carolina for three years. I completed the Big Sur International Marathon and The San Francisco Marathon, where I ran my first sub-4 hour marathon and got engaged!

2018 was a bit rocky as I was sidelined with tendinitis three separate times! Yet despite the multiple setbacks, I ran finished the Flying Pig Marathon, The San Francisco Marathon and the California International Marathon with PRs!

Coming off of a tough year, I truly believe that I am capable of so much more. I don’t know if 2019 will be my year but cheers to chasing a sub 3:30 for a BQ.

Happy to have you following along for the journey!

  2. Hi Kelli, It’s great to see all your running goals. I have just started running half marathons (I have never seen a 3/4 marathon before!). Good luck with your training and thanks for stopping by my blog and checking it out!
